So I received a snowflake the other day from a 6 year old. You know, the paper cut out kind. It wasn’t the most beautifully crafted snowflake I’ve ever seen, but it did have an interesting shape. It sat on my desk for a few days and then one day during I company meeting I took it and started doodling on the white paper. When I’d filled up the paper I felt obligated to continue so I scanned it in and kept adding layers in photoshop. There wasn’t some master plan behind it all, but I did achieve the look I was going for. What do you think? Have you ever doodled something and then it turned into something more? Is this art? Tell me what you think in the comments below.

I really like this work. Yeah, I’ve definitely used “doodles” to create larger works, and patterns in photoshop. Doodling is super important to any one’s creative practice. I can see an even larger series in this same vein, hannah.
